Recent PrimeFlex Communications

As PrimePay sends out communications to PrimeFlex clients regarding changes in government regulations, updates on limits or new features available to clients and their employees... we will post them in this section of PrimeFlex Online. Please check back occasionally to view these communications so you can stay informed.

April 17, 2013 – A communication was sent to all active clients informing them of how participants can access our PrimeFlex Mobile App.  By scanning the QCR codes provided, and also found on our website, a participant will be able to download the app directly on their phone.  The PrimeFlex Mobile App allows participants to access detailed account information such as account balances, recent communications, and much more.  Click here to view the full announcement

March 1, 2013Update to participant portal was sent to all participants currently enrolled in the Bancorp Bank Health Savings Accounts. Effective immediately, participants will now access their Bancorp Bank Health Savings Accounts through www.mybenefitfunds.com/primeflex. Effective March 27, 2013 the current portal that participants are accessing, www.yourhsasolution.com, will no longer grant participants access to their accounts. February 8, 2013 – Important update regarding IRS guidance on retroactive adjustments for the 2012 transit benefits. The adjustments only apply if the employee made the full monthly pre-tax deduction of $125.00 as well as additional after tax deduction. January 14, 2013 – IRS releases updates to the maximum monthly pre-tax Transit/Parking benefits for taxable year 2013. The monthly limitation was increased to $245.00 for both Transit and Parking benefits in 2013. Employees may elect to alter their monthly election up to $245.00. December 28, 2012 – A communication was sent to all current clients with essential information regarding the new fees for employers that sponsor an HRA and/or FSA Plan with an employer contribution.  The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) fees will become payable in 2013 under the Affordable Care Act.  Click here to view the full announcement.

December 17, 2012 – The PrimeFlex mobile app is now available to all participants who are iPhone and Android Users. Participants will be able to have access to their current account balances, recent transactions, and communications directly through the app. Click here to view the full announcement.

June 25, 2012 – New enhancements to our online services will be coming in July 2012. Employers will now be able to maintain and update records directly through the portal, such as terminations, adding new employees & dependents, and much more.  A new participant portal will now allow participants to not only continue with the same features of the old portal, but also now have access to enhancements such as viewing YTD plan activity, enhanced tracking of reimbursements, and many more. April 2, 2012 – Employees will now be able to receive their direct deposit reimbursements faster! Effective April 16, 2012, any claim that is processed by the deadline of 3pm on a business day will have the funds direct deposited into the participant’s account the following business day. If a client does not currently offer direct deposit, they may contact PrimeFlex and sign up at no additional cost to the company. Click here to view the full announcement.

February 6, 2012 – New restrictions have been put into place regarding the use of the Transportation Debit Card. Participants will now be required to make a purchase at a terminal that only issues transit passes/tickets. Participants may no longer purchase tickets at any other location. February 3, 2012 – Contribution Change Notices for 2012 Transit and Parking Benefit Accounts.  As of January 1, 2012, the monthly contribution maximum for Pre-Tax Transit will decrease from $230.00/month in 2011 to $125.00/month for 2012. The monthly contribution maximum for Pre-Tax Parking will increase from $230/month in 2011 to $240/month in 2012. Any participant who currently has a monthly Pre-Tax Transit election exceeding the new maximum will need to submit a new election form. Click here to view the full announcement.

 January 14, 2011 – Debit card may now be used to purchase Over-the-Counter (OTC) drugs. This is applicable at drugs stores, pharmacies, mail-order or web-based vendors that sell prescription drugs if a prescription (Rx) is presented to the pharmacist, the OTC drug is dispensed by the pharmacist in accordance with applicable legal requirements, and an Rx number is assigned. December 22, 2010 — Enhancement to participants - Introducing Mobile Communication for account alerts! Beginning immediately, participants can sign up to receive our proactive account communications using text message (SMS) as an additional alert method. In addition to email, participants will be able to receive this communication to either their mobile device or personal computer, increasing the likelihood that the communication is received. December 15, 2010 — Enhancements to the claims reimbursement process — Introducing Provider Payments! PrimeFlex is excited to bring another new enhancement to the area of our claims reimbursement process. Starting January 1, 2011, the claims reimbursement process will permit a participant to have PrimeFlex reimburse the medical provider directly for services rendered. July 6, 2009 — Important changes in IRS regulations regarding the use of FSA and HRA debit cards were sent to PrimeFlex clients and their employees that participate in this pre-tax benefit. These changes affect the ability to use your PrimeFlex debit card for eligible FSA purchases at drug stores and pharmacies. This IRS change is effective July 1, 2009. July 2, 2009 — PrimeFlex clients received information on two new service enhancements... Online Claims Submission and Online Enrollment. These improvements are designed to enhance the overall experience for employers and employees. Online Claims Submission makes it easy for participants to submit receipts for their eligible expenses via the web. Online Enrollment makes it easy for employers to allow their employees to enroll for certain benefits online. No more paperwork to hand out and collect! February 23, 2009 — PrimeFlex clients that offer their employees reimbursement for mass transit and parking expenses received a notification that the transit limit will increase effective March 1, 2009. The Economic Stimulus Package enacted on February 17, 2009 increases the current $120 per month income exclusion for mass transit expenses to $230 per month.
