Health Care Reform is again an important piece of legislation on the Hill and while we agree that reform is necessary, we disagree with some ideas that have surfaced. A recent bill has come out of the Senate Finance Committee - the Chairman's Mark - which has some good ideas but a few questionable provisions. The goal of this bill is to drive down health care spending and costs by levying a 40% excise tax on "high cost" health plans.
